ASBESTOS REMOVAL
Professionals like us refer to asbestos removal as “asbestos abatement" and the goal during this procedure is to reduce the amount of the material to a manageable level. OSHA asbestos regulations say that permissible levels cannot exceed 0.1 fiber per cubic centimeter of air.
ASBESTOS TESTING
Asbestos Testing helps professionals identify the presence, type of asbestos and concentration of airborne fibers to help plan control and remediation measures to protect human health.
ASBESTOS TESTING & SITE SURVEY
We can perform asbestos testing and assessment. With this service, we can determine if those strange white fibres or substances you’ve found in your home are asbestos. We can also conduct an inspection on-site, so we can check personally if you prefer not to collect a sample.
ASBESTOS DEMOLITION
KR Services in Honolulu provides safe, compliant and cost-effective removal, transport and disposal of asbestos-containing materials. Once thought to be safe, asbestos was commonly used as insulation and fire retardant in residential and commercial construction
OUR SERVICES
We can perform asbestos testing and assessment. With this service, we can determine if those strange white fibers or substances you’ve found in your home are asbestos. We can also conduct an on-site inspection, collecting all the samples needed for proper testing, so you don't have to.
Class A is friable asbestos. As a material, it will usually be found below ground level. However, it may also be found in older domestic stoves and ceiling insulation for commercial structures.
Class B is bonded asbestos, a fiber-cement product. This will be hardened in a matrix structure. While it's usually flat, it sometimes appears as corrugated or circular tubes, most often used as insulation in the walls of residential buildings. In some cases, you might also see Class B in old plumbing.
Reporting asbestos is easy - just call us and schedule an inspection! We will send a certified, experienced inspector at a time of your choosing
ASBESTOS ENCAPSULANT
Asbestos encapsulation is a process that involves covering or enclosing ACMs with a protective coating or material to prevent the release of fibres into the air.
Encapsulation is typically used as a medium to long-term solution for managing ACMs in Honolulu homes, offices, and commercial spaces, rather than removing them, which can be costly and disruptive. This method creates a barrier that seals off the asbestos fibers and prevents them from becoming airborne, reducing the risk of exposure to asbestos.
ASBESTOS TILE REMOVAL
Asbestos floor tiles may exist in a number of homes, commercial buildings, and industrial buildings in Honolulu, Pearl City, Diamond Head, and nearby cities in the Oahu Island.
If these asbestos containing materials begin to deteriorate or are damaged during renovation or construction, they can release asbestos fibers into the air, resulting in a number of potential health complications. Therefore, asbestos tile removal is recommended prior to any major renovation or demolition project.
ASBESTOS MASTIC REMOVAL
Mastic is the glue that holds down carpet, VCT (vinyl tile), and other floorings. It is often adhered directly to the concrete and is very difficult to remove without certain equipment.
Hawaii Abatement Services - Oahu Environmental Asbestos Abatement Removal, Restoration, Remediation Company has all the specialty equipment and tooling to perform even the toughest asbestos mastic removal projects in and around Honolulu, Pearl City, Diamond Head, and other surrounding nearby cities in the Oahu Island.
POPCORN CEILING REMOVAL
Asbestos was used as a component in creating the effect of Popcorn Ceiling -- which are also known as ‘textured’ ceilings and are popular in older Honolulu Oahu homes.
In order to find a conclusive answer, Honolulu homeowners and business owners need to have their popcorn ceilings sampled to check if it contains asbestos. Nothing to worry, even if your homes, offices, or commercial property's ceiling does contain asbestos, it may not be causing any immediate danger.
ASBESTOS MAINTENANCE
As a property owner, project director or employer, are you aware of your asbestos ‘Duty to Manage’ obligations?
KR Services is responsible for identifying the presence of any asbestos containing materials (ACMs), assessing the risk they pose and then preparing, implementing and reviewing a management plan to monitor and ensure compliance, manage removal and prevent exposure to your Honolulu property.
